For many, Khuzestan’s nature is linked with Nizar and Karun; but this vast province has hidden many charms. One of the most exciting natural attractions and sights of Khuzestan province is called Shimbar plain. This green area with its springs, waterfalls and velvety forests attracts many tourists in different seasons of the year. Shimbar Plain, which is also known as Shirin Bahar, is one of the most attractive nature tourism destinations and places to visit in Suleiman Mosque. This green area is located on the slopes of Dela Mountain on one side. Numerous springs, beautiful waterfalls, Shat Shimbar and forests covered with oak trees, almonds, wild bushes, all kinds of mushrooms and citrus fruits, mountain grapes, berries, pomegranates and apples are among the unique effects of nature in this region. The towering mountains of the region which Covered with various flowers and bushes, they are one of the best options for climbing. The wildlife of the plain is also interesting and adds to the natural beauty of the region. Shimbar plain is one of the functions of Chalo district of Andika city, which has an area of more than 50,000 hectares.
The vegetation of Shimbar plain includes oak, mountain almond, mahlo, millet, maple, esfandan, baneh, kalkhang and jazz trees. Also, Shimbar war plain has car trees such as mulberry, apple, grape and fig.
In the past, all kinds of bears, wolves, hyenas, boar herds and hunting birds such as eagles and vultures lived in the Shimbar plain; In such a way that no one dared to enter the heart of the Shimbar forest. Today, due to illegal hunting, the ecosystem cycle of the region is facing problems.
The people of Shimbar and its surroundings are Bakhtiari mountain people who have been engaged in cattle breeding and agriculture in this area for centuries. These nomads have many handicrafts and livestock products, including carpet weaving, carpet weaving, local clothes, local cheese, local butter, local oil, curd, honey and bread.
Teng Beta with 12 reliefs is located in the heights of Mount Dela in Andika city. Teng Beta is one of the most different reliefs in Khuzestan. Considering the type of covering and hairstyle in these petroglyphs, it can be estimated that they are the same time as the Parthian period and related to the Elimaids. The Elymais were the local government at the same time as the Parthians, and Indica was considered a part of their territory.
In this relief of 12 people, 9 people are the same height and in the other part, three people are shorter. In the middle of these 12 people, an inscription, a mace, and the base of a fire pit can be seen.
There is a crown on the heads of two of them, which distinguishes these two people from the others, and it seems that they are the queen and the king’s wife. The state of people is as if they are performing a religious ceremony.

Shimbar lagoon is located along the Zagros mountain range and in Shimbar protected area. This area is located in the conservation area of Masjid Suleiman city, 80 km northeast of it, and the special animals of Zagros, such as Iranian squirrels, goats, leopards, bears, partridges, are found in this area. Many species of birds such as pelicans, chameleons, cashews, etc. live in this wetland.
