History of Qasr Bahram Caravanserai
In the middle of “Desert National Park”, near the city of Garmsar in Semnan province, there is an amazing mansion. Bahram Palace Caravanserai is the name of this ancient building, that is truly beautiful and magnificent, and perhaps it can also be called “Bahram Palace”. Bahram V (known as Bahram Gur), the 15th king of the Sasanian Empire, is said to have built this place. During the Safavid era, Shah Abbas Safavid rebuilt it and turned it into a caravanserai. Although this caravanserai is a magnificent historical monument, its unique location makes Bahram Palace an incredibly unique tourist destination.
This caravanserai is located on the slopes of the Black Mountain and in the middle of the desert plain, the largest desert in Iran.
