(Persepolis) is the name of one of the ancient cities of Iran, which has been the magnificent and ceremonial capital of the Kingdom of Iran during the Achaemenid Empire. In this ancient city, there is a palace called Persepolis, which was built during the reign of Darius the Great, Xerxes and Ardashir I and has been inhabited for about 200 years. On the first day of the new year, many groups from different countries, on behalf of the satrapies or governorates, gathered in Persepolis with various offerings and presented their gifts to the king.
