Isfahan province, is located in the center of Iran. The capital of this province is the city of Isfahan. Isfahan province is the sixth largest province and the third most populous province in Iran. The province, with an area of about 10,676 square kilometers, is located between 30 degrees and 43 minutes to 34 degrees and 27 minutes north latitude of the equator and 49 degrees and 36 minutes to 55 degrees and 31 minutes east longitude of the Greenwich meridian. This province is limited from the east to Yazd and South Khorasan provinces, from the north to Semnan, Qom and Markazi provinces, from the west to Lorestan and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces, from the south to Kohgiluyeh, Boyer-Ahmad and Fars provinces. The most important cities of this province are Isfahan, Kashan and Najafabad. Isfahan is the center of Iran and steel production as well as handicrafts in Iran. This province is one of the largest centers for the production of various types of handicrafts in Iran. This province has long been the cradle of fine arts and crafts. Brick decorations, tiling, plastering and all kinds of calligraphy in is the historical monuments of Isfahan.
