Oshtorankuh, which is known as the Iranian Alps;

It is a mountain range in the east of Lorestan province and one of the highest mountain ranges in Zagros. The highest peak of Oshtorankuh is “Sanbaran” peak with a height of 4150 meters, that is one of the 1515 most prominent peaks in the world.

This mountain is one of the protected areas of the country, it has high and snow-covered peaks, deep and long valleys, permanent rivers, vegetation (such as pistachio, gorse, rhubarb, etc.), diverse animal cover (such as brown bear, fox , gray wolf, mountain goat, ram, wild cat, tree squirrel, partridge, falcon, etc.).

Due to the existence of 8 peaks, some of that are higher than 4000 meters, these peaks are arranged one after the other like a caravan of camels, and for this reason, it is known as Camel Mountain or Oshtorankuh.

The Oshtorankuh mountain range is one of the most watery mountains in Iran, and for this reason, many small rivers originate from the peaks of Oshtorankuh, such as Marbareh, Dereh Daei, Dereh Dozdan, and Gohar Rood, and the beautiful Lake Gohar (Nagin Oshtorankuh), which is one of the most important It is the tourist area of ​​Iran, it is located in the southwestern slopes and in the Gohar Rood valley.
