This caravanserai was built in the 10th lunar century on the occasion of Shah Abbas Safavid meeting with Zein-o-din Ganjali Khan, who was the ruler of Kerman at that time. Mohammad Sultan Yazdi was the architect of this structure and at that time he was considered as one of the best architects in Iran. For the construction of many Iranian structures, sacred numbers have been used, and this caravanserai is no exception to this rule, and 5 towers and 12 pages have been built in it.
Zein-o-din Caravanserai in Yazd has had various uses throughout history and one of its most important uses is related to the 10th century AH, when gunmen and conservatives lived in it.
