This mosque is bounded from the east to Zargarha Bazaar, from the west to the customs quarter, from the north to the Jame Mosque and the Places Administration, and from the south to Bazazan Bazaar.

In the dark corridors of the bazaar, which is considered the main destination of many tourists to buy handicrafts, the historical mosque of Emad o dolah Mosque stands out. The founder of the mosque was a person named Imam Qoli Mirza Imad al-Dulah, the ruler of Kermanshah, who built it in 1285 AH, corresponding to the time of the Qajar rule. Despite the many changes in the fabric of the city in different eras until today, this mosque is still considered as one of the most important attractions of the city center.

Emad o dolah Mosque has two doors from two sides of the market; the main door is located on Modares Street or Nanbarji Peziha Street. After passing through a short corridor, an amazing view of a magnificent mosque with a very old clock tower appears before your eyes. This tower once showed the passage of time in Kermanshah.

One of the most important points about Emad o dolah Mosque is the presence of a gate of the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Ali (AS), which has a special value among the people, especially the people of the old bazaar of the city, and therefore, congregational prayers are still held in this place. “Qapi Shah Najaf” or “Survival of Shah Najaf” is the name of a door that belongs to the Safavid period.

The architecture of Emad o dolah Mosque is a combination of the beauty of the art of the builder’s hand and the spiritual and religious spirit, which, at first sight, attracts the attention of every viewer. The mosque is built in the form of four porches and consists of different parts, such as the main hall, the courtyard, the porch, the pillared nave and numerous cells. This mosque does not have a dome or garland.

The builders have designed and built two main and secondary entrances for this historical mosque. One of these entrances is located in Zargarha row, which is actually the main entrance of the mosque. The other entrance is located in Bezazan Street, which leads to four souqs of Kermanshah market.

The courtyard of the mosque measures about 30 x 24 meters, with many porches, chambers and openings around it. In the middle part of the courtyard of the mosque, there is a basin, the construction of which is related to the recent era and is considered one of the new parts of this historical building. In the lower part of the pond, a basement or cellar has been built, which today students use this place to exercise.

Numerous cells can be seen around the porches of the mosque, which have admirable tile decorations. These decorations are done in a view that is facing the courtyard of the porches.
