If you are moving from Astara to Ardabil and about 200 meters before the Hiran tunnel, enter a side road on the right side of the road leading to the tunnel. This side road crosses the top of the tunnel and after about one kilometer reaches a crossroads where the right road connects to Ardabil road again and the left road is the way to reach the upper station of the cable car, Rastavan Hiran and then Fandoqloo Forest.
The Ardabil-Astara road intersection is located near the city of Namin. In this route and before reaching Namin city, after Namin station, a side road enters “Dudran” village. Continue on this road to reach the lower monastery and then the village of Arpatpe. In the village of Arpatapeh, turn left at the crossroads, and after about four kilometers, reach the parking lot of Fandolo.
Due to the mountainous location of the region, there are several hiking trails to reach the Hazelnut Forest; But in the meantime, the paths of Lake Soha and Lawton Falls are the best mountaineering paths. The stop on both routes is “Mash Sui” spa.
Fandolo forest has an area of about 16,000 hectares and due to this area, the sights of Fandolo tourist area are very diverse.
Hazelnut Tree Forest: The presence of a large number of hazelnut trees in this forest has made it known as Hazelnut Forest (Fandoqloo Forest).
Mash Suei Spa: Jangal Spa or in local terms (Mash Suei) is located between Aladizgeh and Gildeh villages, in the middle of the forest and at an altitude of 630 meters and is famous for its healing properties for leg pain and back pain.
Chamomile Flower Plain: Hazelnut looks like a carpet full of chamomile flowers in spring to early summer. In this regard, the Chamomile Flower Festival is held every year on the 25th and 24th of June, at the same time with the World Flower and Plant Day, with the presence of a large number of domestic and foreign tourists in this region, that is one of the pristine areas and natural reserves of medicinal plants. This festival is held in pastures with an area of several hundred hectares of chamomile, by the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization of Ardabil Province. In this festival, the master artists and craftsmen of this region, by producing kilims, musnads, jajims and varnishes, expose the precious heritage to the public.
19 forest species have been identified in the hazelnut forest, among which there are rare species such as hazelnut, hornbeam, beech, oak, oak and burdock, which add value to the region. But the name hazelnut is given to this forest because the hazelnut tree has grown more than other species. Animals such as foxes, wolves, brown bears, otters and birds such as pheasants, partridges, golden eagles, jackals and crows can be found in the area.
In the plains of Fandoqloo Forest, one of the most beautiful and rare flowers in the world called Susan Chelcheragh grows and has a very excellent ability to develop the tourism industry. Chamomile is also an annual, fragrant plant with a height of 20 to 40 cm that cannot be used as a vehicle in farms, plains, gardens and most in the forest area of Fandoqloo Forest.
Fandoqloo Forest is the point of contrast between the dry and cold air of Ardabil region and the hot and humid air of Gilan; Therefore, most days of the year the forest weather is foggy and even on the hottest days of summer you can see the flow of clouds at low altitudes. Overall, this region has a pleasant climate due to its location in the highlands.

Heeran Fandloo cable car is one of the most exciting entertainments in this region. The cable car line, which is also one of the most standard cable car lines in the country and can move 1350 people in one hour on a route of 1752 meters.
Heyran cable car has 30 ordinary 6-person cabins. The VIP cabin also accommodates guests with amenities such as leather upholstered seats, a music player, a refrigerator with catering facilities and smoked glass. Sleigh, karting track and Heeran zip line are other recreational facilities near Fandoqloo Forest. Soha Lake is also one of the closest sights around Fandoqloo Forest.
