Shahdad

With the arrival of autumn and the gradual cooling of the weather, the desert is one of the best destinations for nature tourism. Among all these options, Kerman, as the center of desert wonders, includes a major part of the Lut plain, the most beautiful part of that is the Shahdad desert.

Shahdad is located in the northeastern part of Kerman, at a distance of about 87 km, which reaches the Kalut desert region from the northeast. There are about 100 hectares of salt fields in this desert and it is uninhabited. The Kaluts are located in a dangerous and mysterious area that is approximately 145 km long and 70 km wide.

What is a klut?

The word Klut consists of two parts, Kol and Lut, which means the city of Lut. The word refers to bumps that are usually formed in soft lake sediments due to wind and water erosion. The upper bouts featured two cutaways, for easier access to the higher frets. The lower bouts featured two cutaways, for easier access to the higher frets.

Most of our country’s great Kaluts are located in the Shahdad plain, which attracts a large number of domestic and foreign visitors every year; Especially in recent years, access to the area and its amenities have improved. National Geographic magazine has named the area as the fourth natural attraction in the world.

How Kaluts are formed

Kaluts and other wind erosion bumps are located in areas where the wind is fast enough for wear. In this way, moisture causes the surface of the earth to loosen and after drying, the wind easily moves the particles and creates grooves in the form of parallel arrays. Over time, these furrows become wider with more water and wind erosion, and between these grooves, Kaluts form parallel or spindle-shaped hills (depending on wind performance).

Sirjan

In the heart of Kerman desert province, there is an amazing plain that turns into an eye-catching lake in some days of the year and a big salt marsh in other days, creating a unique duality in the region

Sirjan salt field is one of the unique beauties of the diverse nature of Kerman, which is located between Sirjan and Shiraz and has created one of the most original natural landscapes in the country, which dazzles the eyes of every viewer.

The unique nature of this mysterious area of Sirjan desert is very diverse and eye-catching, so that the salt desert has turned this part of the province, where no living thing lives, into the most diverse and variable regions of the country.

While this region is mentioned as a salt swamp and one of the largest salt reserves in the country, which with rain in the Sirjan desert in a few hours, this region becomes a large and wavy lake that attracts tourists. Slowly

In hot days of the year, due to the scorching sun of the desert and the evaporation of water, this region turns into a large salt marsh, which forms one of the most original natural landscapes in Iran.

While after the rain, due to the flooding of the plains around this area, it is filled with water, but in this season of the year, after the evaporation of water, this area, which is known as the salt pan, sees a thick coating of NaCl in The surface of the desert covers thousands of hectares, creating a landscape like the snow-covered deserts of Siberia, and the whiteness of the plain creates an eye-catching view.

This white plain is formed on the way from Kerman province to Shiraz and is located 27 km from Sirjan road near Khairabad village and includes 35,000 hectares of plain which is completely white and full of salt.

This part of Sirjan desert is one of the lowest areas of Kerman province, which attracts tourists from different provinces of the country both if it becomes a large lake in spring and winter and when it becomes the largest salt plain in Iran. And it has been called a symbol of the nature of the four climates of Kerman.

Interestingly, the intense evaporation of water due to the unbearable heat of the desert has formed an icy layer of salt that has created the ground for desert climbing, especially on moonlit nights of the year.

The glow of salt crystals in the moonlight and the glow of the starry sky of Kerman desert have become world famous for its stars.

In Iran Safari Tour, we intend to visit the scenic areas of the Iranian desert. Get to know the people of the desert. Travel in the desert and experience the freshness of the desert. At night, watch the desert sky and enjoy desert tea and enjoy the tranquility of the desert. This trip is planned focusing on the attractions of the central desert of Iran, along with visiting other cities in Iran and visiting the historical and beautiful monuments of Iran.
